Together with the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), the company has developed the Metasys® optimizing thermal storage controller which is an easy-to-use, advanced method to improve the performance of thermal storage systems while minimizing energy and demand costs, says the company. The controller features a patented control algorithm that handles load forecasting automatically. It predicts the daily cooling requirements of a facility in real time while adapting to seasonal and daily variations in demand without operator intervention, the company says.
