To reduce the potential liability of suicides in correctional facilities, the company has introduced the SG-SD, a low-cost security grille, which meets the National Institute of Correc-tions suicide prevention guidelines and California Title 24. This grille offers 40% free area, without compromising maximum security, with a 3/16-in.-thick steel face perforated with 3/16-in. holes on staggered centers, says the company. The grille is designed for areas where individuals remain alone for extended periods of time, such as prisons, juvenile centers, and sanatoriums.
