Rockwell Automation: COOLING TOWER MOTORS

The Reliance Electric cooling tower multi-speed motor is designed for cooling tower applications or any usage requiring performance in wet environments, says the manufacturer. Common applications include evaporative cooling systems for hospitals, universities, and most large buildings. The motor has a rugged cast iron construction and the bearing cavity is sealed from moisture, making it suitable for a number of wet atmospheres, the company says. The Design B, 60-Hz, Class F motor is designed to operate in a 40Â°C ambient temperature.
