These combination fire/smoke dampers include the industry’s largest single-section and multiple-section sizes, says the manufacturer. Single sections as large as 42 by 60 in. and multiple sections up to 128-in. wide and 100-in. high are available. The units can be installed either side up with the blades horizontal to allow for actuator positioning on the right or left where space is restricted, the company says. In addition, all 1 1¼2-hr rated dampers are approved for installation out of the plane of the wall, which permits easy through-the-grille access and quicker maintenance, says the company.
