This fiber-free acoustic duct liner is an acoustical and thermal insulation for use in residential and commercial ductwork, says the company. The lightweight material is composed of seven layers: foil, polyethylene, bubble, poly-ethylene, bubble, polyethyl-ene, and foil, and is 5¼16-in. thick. Using a thinner liner reduces the weight of the ductwork, the company says. The product also eliminates fiberglass in the air stream and reduces unwanted equipment, air-rush, and cross-talk noises, says the manufacturer.
