The natural fiber duct liner now is available in blue. The duct liner is designed for use in sheet metal ducts to absorb unwanted noise, to reduce heat loss or gain, and to provide low air resistance. The airstream surface of the duct liner is covered with a fire-resistant black facing, which is designed to reduce airflow resistance. A patented process is used that treats each natural fiber with a nontoxic fire, mold, and pest inhibitor, then thermally bonds the fibers, creating a safe and sustainable insulation product, the company states. The duct liner contains 85-percent recycled content. The duct liner has a Class A fire rating.
