HOUSTON - David M. Debien, 57, passed away Jan. 13, 2006. Debien, who suffered from Type 1 diabetes complications, ran his own air conditioning and heating business, Central City Air. He began his HVAC career working for Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. Later on, after working in engineering at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Houston, he returned to HVAC at Palais Royal department stores where he served as chief engineer.

Debien spent almost 30 years devoting his energy to his business. Often heralded as a guru in the field, his contributions to advancing the air conditioning and heating business will continue through the company he built.

He is survived by his wife Suzanne, daughter Jacqueline, mother Mary Lea Debien, brother Joe, and sisters Peggy and Diane (Bristow).
