Synergy Forum Boosts Skills of Field Supervisors

PHILADELPHIA — Synergy Solution Group, a professional network for people in the commercial HVAC industry, welcomed 58 field supervisors from across the country to its 2026 Field Supervisors Forum, held last month in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The event brought together leaders from commercial HVAC and mechanical contracting companies to focus on leadership development, communication, and addressing real-world challenges, a press release from Synergy said.
The forum featured interactive sessions led by leadership expert Gregory Tall, who guided attendees through practical approaches to delegation, communication, and navigating change. His workshop emphasized the evolving role of field supervisors as both technical experts and leaders.
Additional sessions were led by Scott Adams of the Service Operations Institute, who provided frameworks for managing performance, setting expectations, and addressing challenges in real time. Attendees also heard from Mike Barnard of Cox Engineering, who shared insights into developing future leaders through Cox’s Apprentice Team Lead program.
A key component of the forum was peer-to-peer learning. Through small-group discussions and roundtable conversations, attendees shared experiences and strategies related to workforce development, communication, and balancing billable responsibilities with leadership demands.
“The best part of the meeting was getting to know everyone and getting advice from guys who have been in my position before,” said Nate Swailes of Controls Service & Engineering Co. Inc., based in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania.
Synergy Solution Group hosts peer-driven forums and training sessions throughout the year. The meetings are focused on helping mechanical contractors develop their teams, share best practices, and strengthen leadership across their organizations.
