Planned Acquisition Would Open New Market for Supplier

LANCASTER, Pa. — APR Supply Co., a fourth-generation, family-owned plumbing and HVAC distributor in its 103rd year of business, has entered the due diligence phase of its plans to acquire McArdle & Walsh Inc., a supplier of plumbing, heating, and industrial products serving contractors in the Baltimore, Maryland, area for more than a century.
Founded in 1922, McArdle & Walsh has earned a reputation for deep industry knowledge, reliable service, and long-standing customer relationships, a press release from APR Supply said. The acquisition would unite two legacy organizations that share a commitment to exceptional customer experience, product expertise, and continuous investment in the trades, the press release said.
The acquisition of McArdle & Walsh would support APR’s strategic expansion into Maryland, the press release said. APR currently has more than 40 locations across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware; bringing McArdle & Walsh into its network would increase inventory availability, expand product breadth, and enhance support for contractors in the Baltimore market, the press release said.
“We are excited about the opportunity to bring McArdle & Walsh into the APR family,” said APR CEO Scott Weaver. “Their long-standing commitment to the trades, paired with a strong reputation in the Baltimore market, aligns perfectly with our vision for growth. Together, we’ll build on both organizations’ strengths to better serve the needs of professional contractors for decades to come.”
During due diligence, APR will focus on on ensuring continuity for McArdle & Walsh customers and employees while preparing for an integration of the companies, the press release said.
