2025 Top 40 Under 40: Sarah Windsor

Sarah Windsor
Sarah Windsor’s career in design and marketing began over 15 years ago when she was working for a sports and fitness manufacturer, and she came across an opportunity with the Hunton Group.
“What caught my eye was not just the role itself, but a personal connection: My grandpa had worked as an HVAC technician for Iowa State University,” Windsor said. “Joining Hunton felt like a full-circle moment.”
About three years into her role with Hunton, another door opened, this time with Daikin. In December, she’ll have been with the company for nine years. Seven of those years she’s spent as part of the marketing and communications team, where she’s had the privilege to lead a group of designers.
“Together, we support a wide range of initiatives, from product launches and the development of sales enablement tools, branding, video, animation, and beyond,” Windsor said. “My journey has been shaped by passion and purpose, and I’m grateful for every step of it.”
The logo and brand development for Daikin Fit, the design and creative direction for VRV Emerion, and the campaign efforts supporting Daikin, Goodman, and Amana brand R-32 products are some of Windsor’s accomplishments that stand out in her mind.
“I have been fortunate to support the creative strategy, branding, and design development of many of our product launch initiatives … Each of these projects challenged me in different ways and gave me the chance to collaborate with incredible teams, which makes them especially memorable,” Windsor said.
Through those experiences, Windsor has discovered that her greatest professional satisfaction comes not just from creating strong visual messaging or launching successful campaigns — but from knowing her work contributes to a larger mission.
“At Daikin, I have learned about the Japanese philosophy of Ikigai,” Windsor said. “Ikigai is the intersection of what you love, what the world needs, what you can be paid for, and what you're good at. For me, my Ikigai is leading and leveraging my passion for design/marketing to solve problems and create solutions through creativity. The greatest fulfillment is when my work contributes to something bigger than myself.”
