Description: AERCO has expanded its CFR condensing boiler line with a new 2000 MBH model, adding to its existing 1500 and 3000 MBH offerings. The CFR series is the first stainless steel condensing boiler approved for Category I venting, allowing building owners to retain existing vent systems — an advantage in retrofit applications where space and budget are limited. The CFR’s patented StackGuard technology enables high-efficiency operation while maintaining dry flue gas, making it compatible with Category I / Type B venting. This reduces installation time and cost by avoiding the need for venting upgrades. All CFR models use a 439 stainless steel fire-tube heat exchanger and offer up to 87.1% thermal efficiency with a 4:1 turndown ratio. The boiler fits through standard 36" doorways, requires zero side clearance, and is serviceable from multiple access points. Integrated with AERCO’s Edge Controller and Boiler Sequencing Technology, the CFR can communicate directly with BAS systems via BACnet or Modbus, no gateway required. With more size options and simplified installation, the expanded CFR line supports efficient retrofits in schools, hospitals, and multifamily buildings without major structural changes.
