ACCA Launches Online R-454B Resource Center
ALEXANDRIA, VA. — ACCA has launched a dedicated R-454B Resource Center to help HVACR contractors navigate the current refrigerant shortage with timely, factual information and safety resources.
As the industry adjusts to the phase-down of high-GWP refrigerants and increased demand for R-454B, contractors across the country are facing challenges in securing product, maintaining installation schedules, and managing customer expectations. ACCA’s Resource Center is designed to address these concerns by serving as a centralized hub for updates, best practices, and training materials.
“Our mission has always been to guide, equip, and advocate for contractor — especially in moments like this,” said Barton James, ACCA president and CEO, in a press release. “We created this resource center to provide real-time, actionable support so contractors can keep their teams safe and their businesses running efficiently.”
The R-454B Resource Center, according to the press release, includes:
• A regularly updated FAQ section.
• Free A2L refrigerant safety training for ACCA members.
• Guidance from manufacturers and suppliers.
• A feedback form for contractor questions and input.
