MADISON, Wis. — Kathryn Poehling Seymour joined the Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) board of directors during its biannual meeting, held in Delafield, Wisconsin, in January.
Poehling Seymour, president and CEO of First Supply, joins dozens of business leaders to guide WMC as the voice of business in Wisconsin.
”We are proud to see Katie take on this leadership role with WMC,” said Seth DePuy, chief strategy officer at First Supply, in a press release. “Her commitment to advancing our industry and the broader business landscape reflects her dedication to progress, collaboration, and innovation.”
WMC, which serves as the state chamber of commerce and manufacturers association, is a membership organization whose mission is to make Wisconsin the most competitive state in which to do business, the press release said. The board sets the business and industry legislative agenda for the organization. Like WMC’s diverse membership, the board includes representatives from large and small manufacturers, service companies, and chambers of commerce throughout Wisconsin.
“We’re thrilled to have Ms. Poehling Seymour bring her leadership to the WMC board,” said WMC president and CEO Kurt R. Bauer. “As a fifth-generation family business leader, Ms. Poehling Seymour comes to us with a wealth of knowledge, passion, and industry experience. She will certainly be an invaluable member of the team as we amplify the voice of the business community and strengthen the economy.”
Guided by a mission to distribute innovation and partnership for generations, First Supply, founded in 1897, is evolving once again with a state-of-the-art distribution center, set to open this year, that the company says will enhance logistics and service capabilities.
