FALLS CHURCH, Va. — The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors–National Association (PHCC) is providing an opportunity for contractors to lobby federal lawmakers during the 2024 Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C., on May 21 and 22.

As part of the conference, PHCC will facilitate visits between contractors and the offices of their elected representatives, a press release from PHCC said.

According to the PHCC, the policy priorities it plans to stress during those visits are: 1) protecting America’s energy future through fuel choice, 2) educating lawmakers on the costs and realities of building electrification, and 3) supporting workforce programs and registered apprenticeships.

First-time attendees as well as those who are returning will be prepared for the visits, as the event provides coaching by PHCC’s federal lobbyists, an easy-to-use app to help with navigating Capitol Hill visits, and much more, the press release said.

Attendees will also hear from experts from PHCC and other facets of the plumbing and HVAC industries.

Keynote speakers this year are U.S. Reps. Martin Frost, D-Texas, and Tom Davis, R-Va., who will provide an overview of the state of politics during this pivotal election year. A complimentary copy of their book, “The Partisan Divide,” will be given to all conference attendees.

The conference is open to PHCC members and non-members. More details and the registration form can be found through this link.

This year’s PHCC Legislative Conference is being sponsored by Bradford White and Federated Insurance.
