Honeywell Offers Free ESCO Institute A2L Safety Course

Bosch’s Florida Heat Pump series will use Honeywell Solstice R-454B refrigerant, designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in residential and light commercial heating and air conditioning by 78% compared to traditional refrigerants.

MOUNT PRESPECT, Ill. — HVACR professionals can take a free course on the safe handling of A2L refrigerants, courtesy of Honeywell Refrigerants, for the next two weeks.
The four-hour ESCO A2L Refrigerant Safety Training Course is available by watching an introductory session that was recently livestreamed on YouTube. The introduction is available here; viewers will get a link that will take them to the four-hour course.
The 71-minute livestreamed introduction featured Honeywell refrigeration experts Ron Vogl and Doug Starasinic, who discussed best practices for handling A2L refrigerants safely during system installation and maintenance. Vogl and Starasinic were joined by Clifton Beck and Jason Obrzut of the ESCO Institute, and more than a thousand people registered for the livestream.
According to Honeywell Refrigerants, the free course is available through Friday, Dec. 15. The ESCO Institute said the course is normally priced at $39.95.
