AHRI Presents Policy Leadership Award to Senator Tom Carper

Carper, along with Sens. John Kennedy (R-La.), James Risch (R-Idaho), and Robert Menendez (D-N.J.), all of whom will receive the same award in the near future, worked tirelessly in a bipartisan manner, in very contentious election years, to secure a path for a national phase down of hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerants.

ARLINGTON, Va. — On Feb. 27, Stephen Yurek, president and CEO, and Samantha Slater, senior vice president of government affairs, AHRI, presented Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.) with the AHRI Policy Leadership Award in appreciation for his work in successfully shepherding the American Innovation and Manufacturing Act and the Kigali Amendment through the U.S. Senate.
As Senator Carper has often stated, “Bipartisan policy is policy that lasts.” AHRI congratulates Senator Carper on this well-deserved honor.
