TANYTOWN, Md. — EVAPCO Inc. has acquired Belmont, Michigan-based Select Technologies, a full-service controls and automation company with expertise and technology development tailored for the food processing and cold storage industries.

The new company is now EVAPCO Select Technologies, a food plant systems integrator specializing in design-build-installation of facility systems, production line integration, process automation, ammonia refrigeration, supervisory systems, and IT integration. Complete UL panel building capabilities for control and power are integral to the business as well. Existing customers include Tyson, ConAgra, Cargill, Hormel, Smithfield and Kraft, among many others.
