NEW CASTLE, Pa. — Berner International, a U.S. manufacturer of air curtains, announced that manufacturer representatives R. Williamson & Associates LLC in Skokie, Illinois and SRS Enterprises in Middletown, New Jersey received the company's "Rep of the Year 2021" gold honors in the commission sales and buy/resell categories, respectively.

Berner International also honored two other manufacturers' representative firms for outstanding 2021 sales achievements:

  • Gold Award Commission Sales  Scott Williamson, vice president; and Rob Williamson, president; of R. Williamson & Associates, Skokie, Ill.;
  • Gold Award Buy/Resell — Richard Rose, partner; and Charles Cino, sales, SRS Enterprises, Middletown, N.J.;
  • Silver Award Buy/Resell — Dominic Marcotte of Vigmark Inc., Montreal, Quebec;
  • Bronze Award Buy/Resell  Ed Goodrich, president, Equipment Direct Sales Inc., Randolph, Mass.;

The 91-year-old R. Williamson & Associates, a Berner rep since 1973, earned its award with dozens of projects sold throughout its Chicago, Northwest Indiana, and Northern Illinois territory. The grocery and food industries continue to buy a broad spectrum of air curtain models due to varied uses including insect control, employee comfort, and energy savings, according to vice president, Scott Williamson. Williamson and partner, Rob Williamson, helped the growing industrial category throughout the pandemic with air curtains separating freezer and shipping spaces, as well as dock door areas.

The duo has two new Berner models — the Architectural Elite for downtown Chicago office building entrances and the Revolvair for the revolving door main entrance at the University of Chicago’s hospital.

SRS Enterprises covers the New York City, Long Island, and northern New Jersey territories for Berner and works with commercial mixed use/retail, hotels, transportation facilities, arenas, and corporate buildings. The 28-year-old SRS produced a large volume of sales, especially with Architectural Series models, such as the 13 units specified at Newark Pennsylvania Station with electric heat and antimicrobial air treatment. Other projects include hot water-heated Architectural Series models for an entrance and industrial loading dock air curtains for a Times Square hotel.

“SRS Enterprises finished first for the seventh consecutive year in HVAC sales revenue,” said Stephen Benes, sales manager, Berner. The SRS sales team is customer-driven and battle-tested in the very competitive New York City and Northern New Jersey markets. They are excellent at closing day-to-day projects, as well as managing new construction projects with mechanical contractors.”
