Berner Intl Announces ‘Rep of the Year’ Awards
R. Williamson & Assoc. and SRS Enterprises take gold

LAS VEGAS — Berner Intl. LLC, New Castle, Pennsylvania, a manufacturer and innovator of air curtains, announced manufacturer representatives R. Williamson & Associates, Skokie, Illinois, and SRS Enterprises, Middletown, New Jersey, received the company's "2016 Rep of the Year" for commission and buy/resell reps, respectively. The awards were presented at the International Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo 2017) Jan. 30 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The 86-year-old R. Williamson & Associates, a Berner rep since 1973, earned its "Presidential Gold — Commission Reps" with several high profile projects. Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management Graduate Center installed several Berner Industrial Direct Drive (IDC16) and (IDC14) air curtains with steam heat over shipping and receiving doors. Another project, Northwestern Memorial Healthcare, Chicago, used Berner's Architectural Low Profile (ALC08) and Architectural High Performance (AHC10) air curtains at front-of-house entrances for environmental separation purposes. Wrigley Field, home of the world champion Chicago Cubs, also received many air curtains for environmental separation. Williamson also continued its renowned dominance with national drugstore chain accounts and industrial air curtain sales throughout its territory of Chicago, northwestern Indiana, northern Illinois, and southern Wisconsin.
"They've got longevity and the best product category knowledge in the industry," said Berner's National Sales Manager, Michael Coscarelli, who presented the award.
SRS Enterprises, which covers the New York City, Long Island, and northern New Jersey territories, was awarded the "Presidential Gold — Buy/Resell Reps." The 24-year-old SRS Enterprises had a successful year with retail stores, commercial buildings, hospitals, and especially front-of-house projects, such as Macy's Herald Square, which received more than a dozen of Berner's architectural air curtains last year for employee comfort. The Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA), New York, train station also received many industrial-style air curtains designed for wind protection and patron air comfort.
"SRS sells a lot of high profile projects, such as New York's Barclays Center and the Resorts World Casino. When it comes to volume, they get the highest number of orders of any rep in the industry," said Steve Benes, a Berner sales manager.
Berner International also honored four other manufacturer's representative firms for outstanding 2016 sales achievements:
- Silver Award Buy/Resell Rep — Liberty Electric, Syracuse, New York, Tricia Neuburger principal/operations manager;
- Silver Award Commission Reps — S & J Equipment Co., Indianapolis, Indiana, Stephen B. Smith Jr., principal;
- Bronze Award Buy/Resell — Vigmark, Montreal, Quebec, Francois Marcotte, principal;
- Bronze Award Commission Reps — Bennett Holland & Associates Inc., Harrison Township, Michigan, Joe Holland, principal
