SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Contractor University, a home service industry provider of business and technical training and a division of the Electric & Gas Industries Association (EGIA), announced its latest conference events: LEAD2022 and EPIC2023.

Taking place September 20-21, 2022, LEAD2022 is a virtual leadership summit designed to help contracting company leaders supplement and grow their leadership skills and elevate their businesses. The two-day event starts with a keynote presentation by basketball Hall of Famer Bill Walton, who shares the leadership lessons he learned while playing under some of the greatest coaches in sports history, including John Wooden and Red Auerbach. Walton will be followed by five other presentations on a variety of topics crucial to contracting business success — all from some of the industry’s foremost consultants and trainers, including Susan Frew, Weldon Long, and Russ Horrocks.

“LEAD2022 is our opportunity to not only bring contracting businesses and their leaders first-class education to help them build the companies they’ve dreamed of,” said Bruce Matulich, CEO and Executive Director of EGIA, “but to provide that life-changing value in a virtual format that’s accessible to everyone. No travel costs or time out of your business – this is the easiest way for contractors to foster their own leadership skills and get the tools to grow their businesses, all without stepping outside of their buildings.”

LEAD2022 is open to all contractors and Contractor University members can register for free.

EPIC2023 is the latest installment in Contractor University’s in-person conference series, following its previous edition that saw over 1,100 contractors take in business transforming education and experiences last October. Set for March 16-17, 2023, EPIC2023 will bring its biggest lineup ever to Caesars Palace on the iconic Las Vegas Strip.

Education and training are at the forefront, joined by a best-in-class product and services showcase for contractors, networking opportunities, and a party at Drai’s Beachclub & Nightclub. EPIC2023 keynote speakers will include:

  • Jillian Michaels, star of The Biggest Loser, fitness guru, and successful entrepreneur and investor who’s built a $100 million empire.
  • John C. Maxwell, legendary business leader, speaker, coach, and bestselling author who’s sold more than 33 million books; previously named Inc. Magazine’s #1 leadership and management expert in the world.
  • Steve Young, Hall of Fame NFL quarterback who went from backup to NFL and Super Bowl MVP; renowned team leader.

“In EPIC2023, we’ve tapped superstar names who are experts in leadership, motivation, and business and will not only entertain and engage attendees — but offer the inspiration and strategies for contractors to get the most out of themselves and their teams,” said Matulich. “Add to that 12 powerful breakout session presentations from home services industry thought-leaders, each providing established tactics and training that have helped contractors build better businesses, plus the energy and motivation of a live event, we’ve put together the most valuable conference for success-minded contractors we can imagine.”

Registration for EPIC2023 is now open, with early-bird pricing ending September 30, 2022.
