Ronald Vallan, owner and CEO of Young Supply Company, passed away peacefully in his sleep the morning of November 10, 2020, due to complications from congestive heart failure. Ron was well-loved by his family, many friends, employees, and customers; whom he considered to be part of his extended family and treated them as such.

Ron began his tenure at Young Supply Company on January 21, 1974, working for his father and owner, Dominic A. Vallan. He moved to ownership of the company in 1981. Ron’s legacy with Young Supply Company as owner, president, CEO, and chairman of the Board is unmatched in the vision, leadership, and guidance he provided while moving the company from a local, Southeastern Michigan refrigeration wholesale distributor to a national HVAC, refrigeration, and food service equipment wholesale distributor with 18 branches throughout Michigan and Northern Ohio. Ron was well-respected in the industry, earning many awards and accolades for his service. For more than 15 years, Ron served on the board of directors for the Key Wholesaler Group Association, happily sharing his knowledge while helping other distributors across the country succeed.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Susan, their children Tony (Shelly), Lisa (Michael Francescutti), and Ron Jr., in addition to four grandchildren, and many family & friends.

Ron’s sons have long been in executive roles at Young Supply and will continue to lead the company with Tony as president and Ron Jr. as executive vice president.
