BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn. — The Minnesota Heating and Cooling Association (MHCA) announced that it has selected five individuals to receive scholarships to continue their trade/technical training in HVAC. 

The following students received $1,000 scholarships: Alex Ditsch, Hennepin Technical College; Deondra Redmon, Minneapolis Community & Technical College; and Gregory Bunn, Hennepin Technical College.

Two students received $1,500 scholarships: Dana Bloom, Hennepin Technical College, and  Colby Buntin, Minneapolis Community & Technical College.

A committee reviewed the applications submitted this year and actually increased the number and amount of the scholarships awarded to reflect the high  quality of the applications received. The scholarship application process for 2019 will open in the summer of 2019.

Funds for the scholarships come from the proceeds of the MHCA’s annual golf outing, held the last Monday in July at a premier golf course in the Metro area. The 2019 event will be held Monday, July 29 at Dellwood Country Club in Dellwood, Minnesota. Registration and sponsorship information will be available in spring 2019.
