Marketair Names Pacific NW Reps its 2017 Top Gun Rep of the Year
Pilgrim Sales, Kehoe Co. also gain Top Gun honors
CHICAGO — Marketair, a provider of HVACR installation and service accessories/tools, named Yakima, Washington-based Pacific NW Reps LLC its 2017 Top Gun Rep of the Year at the AHR Expo 2018, Jan. 23 in Chicago.
The Top Gun award recognizes the reps that boast the largest sales totals in 2017. Runners up include second Place, Lennie DeAngelo, president, Pilgrim Sales, Marblehead, Massachusetts; and third place, Matthew Kehoe, president, Kehoe Company, Atglen, Pennsylvania.
Marketair’s Roper Award, which recognizes the most new distributor accounts opened, was given to Scott Herberg, president, Pacific NW Reps; Pilgrim Sales; and Jim Ambery, president, Hugh M. Cunningham (HMC) Companies, Carrollton, Texas.
The Goal Riding Award, which honors the reps with the best percentage-to-goal performance, was given to Kehoe – 606 percent; Steve Markee, president, Mechanical Sales, Grand Rapids, Michigan, – 419 percent; and Jim Fitzgerald, partner, J&P HVAC Sales, Dayton, Tennessee –419 percent.
Contributing to Top Gun Pacific NW Reps’ success wer the installation and marketing technique training seminars organized for dozens of contractors throughout its Alaska, Oregon, Idaho, and Washington territories. Tacoma, Washington-based wholesale distributor Gensco, which operates 24 branches in five states, has been Marketair’s top-selling distributor and carries most of the two-year-old firm’s dozens of unique HVACR products consisting mainly of mini-split and variable refrigerant flow (VRF)/variable refrigerant volume (VRV) accessories and tools.
One of Pacific NW Reps’ and Gensco’s most impressive successes in 2017 was selling 500 RoughinBox units for mini splits in a new multi-family residential building project. The patent pending RoughinBox saves contractors thousands of dollars in installation labor costs, because it creates a central point with dedicated ports at which mini split and VRF linesets, condensate hoses, and electrical/communication cabling can safely, quickly, and easily terminate.
