ATLANTA — DiversiTech Corp., a manufacturer and supplier of HVACR parts and accessories, has purchased Alltemp Products Co. Ltd., an HVAC parts supplier serving Canada. Founded in 1970 and based in Pickering, Ontario, Alltemp serves Canadian wholesalers, offering a wide array of parts and supplies for HVAC equipment, electrical motors and pumps. Under the terms of the agreement, Alltemp will retain its name and operate independently as a DiversiTech company. Richard Chalmers, Alltemp vice president who has been with the company for more than 30 years, will continue to lead the Alltemp business.
The acquisition of Alltemp expands DiversiTech’s established Canadian channel and offers customers in that market an even more diverse line of products. The transaction will simplify order placement and fulfillment, resulting in enhanced service for both companies’ customers. Alltemp will benefit from a partner that brings significant resources in new-product development and international distribution to further augment its services to the local Canadian market.
“Alltemp is a highly respected and well-managed company that has deep roots and knowledge within the Canadian HVAC market,” said DiversiTech CEO Jim Prescott. “We are excited to have them join our family and deepen the strong customer relationships with our mutual Canadian customers.”
“DiversiTech brings us a wealth of resources and the industry’s widest array of HVACR products,” said Chalmers. “The growth opportunity this acquisition provides us is transformational and enhances our dedication to outstanding customer service. This ensures a strong and healthy future for Alltemp.”
The two companies will operate “business as usual,” each serving and fulfilling orders for their respective customers for the remainder of 2016 while completing preparations to facilitate consolidated ordering through the Alltemp organization.
DiversiTech’s acquisition of Alltemp is the company’s sixth acquisition in the past 12 months. It continues the company’s aggressive strategy to bring its customers world-class products and service. The company offers more than 15,000 product items in 300 product categories.
