DALLAS — WIT & Co. hosted nearly 700 attendees for its 2014 Distributor/Vendor Conference at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas. This annual event began with a board of directors meeting, as well as its bi-annual committee meetings. After these sessions, programming for WIT distributors, including a General Session, WIT Works networking round-table discussions, and a Purchasing Agent Workshop were held. Approximately 5,800 individual scheduled meetings occurred over two full days. An Eclipse Users Meeting was held to give users a chance to share best practices and gain feedback from Epicor Software Solutions.

During the distributor general session there was a luncheon, a business meeting, and the recognition of several WIT owners for their achievements throughout 2013. The group also celebrated the addition of new distributor Plumbers Wholesale Supply Co. of Pelham, Ala.

The Purchasing Agent Workshop featuring a panel of representatives from three of WIT’s vendor partners, Don Waugaman of Charlotte Pipe & Foundry, Mark Whittington of Elkay Manufacturing, and Dave Shingleton of White-Rodgers. Dr. Michael Workman of Workman and Associates facilitated an interactive discussion on the topic, “What distributors should be doing today to prepare for business over the next five years.”
