Fujitsu General America’s RLS2H ductless systems are available in 9,000, 12,000, and 15,000 Btu configurations. The low ambient temperature heat pumps can reach 27.2 SEER. According to the company, by using a large heat exchanger and high-capacity compressor, the units can provide heating operation with outdoor temperatures as low as -15°F.

Fujitsu’s energy saving program (ESP) is standard on these systems and motion sensors note when the room has been vacated. After 20 minutes, the set temperature is increased by 4° when in cooling mode, and reduced by 8° when heating. When the room is reoccupied, the ESP returns to the previous operating mode.

The RLS2H units are ideal for small or medium size spaces. Residential applications include sunrooms and additions. Commercially, the company said it is ideal for small offices and providing individual temperature control. Other standard features include a wireless remote, a host of different operating modes.
