NEW YORK — Michael Lamach, chairman and CEO of Ingersoll-Rand plc rang the closing bell of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in celebration of two milestone anniversaries within the Ingersoll Rand family of brands. This year marks the 100th anniversary of Trane, a global provider of indoor comfort solutions and services, and the 75th anniversary of Thermo King, a manufacturer of transport temperature control systems for a variety of mobile applications.

Ingersoll Rand rang the NYSE closing bell in celebration of Trane’s 100th and Thermo King’s 75th anniversaries.

“As the 12th oldest continuously listed company on the New York Stock Exchange, we are honored to ring the closing bell of today’s trading,” said Lamach. “We can’t think of a better way to celebrate the incredible histories of Trane and Thermo King. These storied brands continue their legacy of innovation in their respective industries and we look forward to celebrating many more milestones.”

Senior leaders from Ingersoll Rand and its Trane and Thermo King businesses joined Lamach in ringing the closing bell, including Didier Teirlinck, president of Climate Solutions, Thermo King, and Trane commercial; and Gary Michel, president of Residential Solutions, Trane residential and Schlage residential.
