Daikin Expands Partnership with TMI in Missouri, Kansas, and Southern Illinois

Daikin
March 2, 2018

Daikin has elected to expand its relationship with Thermal Mechanics, Inc. (TMI) after careful consideration of the market place to benefit its residential Daikin Comfort Pro dealers and end users in the Missouri, Kansas, and southern Illinois markets.

TMI has been a Manufacturers’ Rep for Daikin’s advanced solutions since 2007, enjoying tremendous success with the commercial line of products, including VRV and applied systems. The companies and their customers have benefitted from TMI’s technological and design expertise, focus on customer service and Daikin’s manufacturing, technology leadership and product support.

“TMI’s leadership is the perfect fit to further the growth of Daikin’s residential solutions,” said Takayuki (Taka) Inoue, executive vice president, Daikin Business Unit.

In addition to VRV and applied systems, TMI will now distribute, promote and support the full line of Daikin residential unitary, VRV LIFETM systems, ductless and light commercial HVAC, as well as controls, Indoor Environment Quality (IEQ), parts and accessories throughout their territory.

The expanded relationship enables TMI’s customers to broaden their horizon with Inverter products. The variety of systems offered, and the flexible nature of Daikin VRV systems, makes the transition to residential or commercial projects easier than ever. Combined with the premier support of TMI, dealers and contractors have numerous new solutions to look forward to.

“We are confident that TMI will continue to provide world-class distribution and support for our brand with this expanded relationship,” said Ian Robertson, Vice President of Sales for Daikin North America LLC. TMI has made significant investments in hiring key personnel with extensive experience in distribution of residential systems, as well as a history of running development and marketing programs for dealer networks.

“We look forward to expanding our knowledge of Inverter products to the residential market,” said Dave Rich, President of TMI. “We have worked really hard in the past 18 months to prepare for this transition in our business, and with the new hires, training, and our inherent knowledge of Daikin and of our customers, we have a head start in joining the distribution game.”
