CHICAGO — One of the things Comfort-Aire/Mars prides itself on is offering its customers easy access to a large variety of products, which helps keep their inventory and costs down.

“We constantly monitor our product for quality as well as maintaining a broad offering to maintain a one-stop shopping experience for our customers,” said Bud Michael, product manager, Mars.

And, the company put that mantra on display at this year’s AHR Expo as it showcased a sampling of its entire equipment and replacement motor and parts line in addition to several new products.

And, since it’s the largest industry event, the AHR Expo was the ideal place to showcase these new technologies. However, that’s not the only reason the company exhibits year after year.

“It is a great opportunity to stay abreast of the latest industry innovations,” said Michael. “We have lately seen a high demand for 26-inch, through-the-wall, PTAC-style a/c and heat pumps.”

As a result, the company adopted a new product line labeled PTTC, PTTE, and PTTH for cooling only, cooling with electric heat, and heat pump with electric heat.

And, anyone who’s attended the expo over the course of the last few years can tell you that ductless technology has been exploding. So, Mars is working on developing more products to appeal to the market.

“We are currently expanding our ultra-low temperature ductless mini-split line into a single/multi head ultra-low temperature line,” Michael said. “This is our UltraV series. It will match a variety of indoor head styles — high wall, ducted, floor/ceiling, floor console, and the traditional high-wall unit — to a line of outdoor single-, double-, and triple-zone units. Also within this line, we will offer a Wi-Fi accessory for the high-wall cassettes.”

With technology advancing at such a rapid pace and homeowners getting more involved with both their indoor environment and environmental impact, it seems the industry chatter will keep Comfort-Aire/Mars coming back to the expo for years to come.

“Our companies have been attending the show as long as any of us here can remember,” said Michael. “Our reasons for attending this year are no different than other years — the expo is our largest venue to display our product and reconnect with customers.”
