CONKLIN, N.Y. — Meier Supply held its first ever open house to celebrate 60 years in business. The event was held at the corporate offices in Conklin, New York, on Thursday, Aug. 24.

Over 250 customers and over 30 vendors attended the event. Customer prizes were awarded hourly culminating with the grand prize — a 2017 Harley Davidson Roadster — won by a lucky customer.

The open house preceded the 27th annual Frank M. Meier golf tournament held at Conklin Player’s Club the following day.

“This event is a culmination of what we strive to be — the absolute best in wholesale distribution,” said Frank A. Meier Jr., president and CEO of Meier Supply Co. Inc.

The golf tournament marked the occasion for the announcement of Meier Supply’s two annual industry award winners — Manufacturer Representative of the Year and Vendor of the Year.

The 2017 Rep of the Year award was given to Mark Bruder from EDOS. Mark has over 30 years of experience in the plumbing and heating industry. His current territory covers western Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, and New York, representing many vendors such as Honeywell, Rheem Water Heating, and Gastite, among others.

The Vendor of the Year award was presented to Ruud Heating and Cooling. Ruud Mfg. Co. produces central air conditioners, heat pumps, gas and oil furnaces, and hot water heating. Meier Supply has maintained a long-standing partnership with Ruud. Randy Roberts, Ryan Hatch, and several other Ruud team members were on hand to accept the award at the vendor reception Thursday evening.

More than 140 customers, vendors, and valued employees participated. In addition to being a day of enjoyment and recognition, the tournament raised $1,186 in charitable contributions for the Broome County Humane Society.
