Grainger’s Partners in Performance Award recognizes suppliers who achieve excellence in several categories, including responsiveness, information integrity, on time shipping and variability, management commitment, and order fulfillment. Grainger suppliers receive ratings throughout the year for their performance in each of these categories. Out of Grainger’s more than 5,000 suppliers, less than 1 percent are chosen to receive these annual awards. The overall Supplier of the Year Award goes to a company that has demonstrated outstanding performance in assisting Grainger with serving its customers.

“The Supplier of the Year Award usually goes to a smaller company, one that provides Grainger with a limited number of products,” said Tim Zwilling, vice president of sales, Integrated Supply at AAF Flanders. “A smaller shop understandably has a much smaller margin for error.
