MAGNOLIA, Texas — A-Gas International announced that A-Gas Americas has bought Refri-Claim®, the reclamation division of ICOR International. Refri-Claim, a certified U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) refrigerant reclaimer, has a network of distributor-based exchange centers across the U.S. that provide an over-the-counter refrigerant cylinder exchange service for customers.

Monte Roach, A-Gas Americas chief executive officer, said, “This acquisition is a part of our core strategy of managing the complete lifecycle of refrigerants for our customers. It will allow A-Gas to broaden its footprint and enhance its services’ offering to our wholesale partners, their contractors, end-users, and other customers.”

A-Gas will take over the existing Refri-Claim customer base. All refrigerant cylinder stock, reclamation, and refurbishment equipment will be transferred to A-Gas where it will be relocated to the company’s operation in Magnolia, Texas.

The Refri-Claim over-the-counter cylinder exchange program provides customers with back-up refrigerant cylinders, helps with repairs, and handles the paperwork associated with recertification.
