June 5, 2015: Restoring the Cleanliness of HVAC Systems Standard Out for Public Review
Review Period Has a Comment Deadline of July 6, 2015
ARLINGTON, Va. — The Air Conditioning Contractors of America Educational Institute (ACCA-EI) Standards Task Team (STT) has announced an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) public review period for its BSR/ACCA 6 QR -201x, “Restoring the Cleanliness of HVAC Systems” as a revised industry standard. The public review period has a comment deadline of July 6, 2015.
The revised standard establishes minimum criteria for the cleaning of HVAC systems that require cleaning activities beyond those performed in normal HVAC maintenance and servicing. The standard also outlines the procedures to control contaminants which may be released during or after the cleaning process, and to provide methods to verify system cleanliness.
