ST. PAUL, Minn. — Minneapolis Saint Paul Plumbing, Heating & Air, an HVAC and plumbing contractor serving the Twin Cities area, has announced plans to expand its workforce with new job openings across multiple departments. With approximately 12 new openings, the positions will help the company better reach its five-year goal of 150 employees overall, while increasing veteran staffing to at least 20 percent in the next few months.
“These positions were created to not only better reach our workforce goal, but because our growing customer base demanded it,” said Andy Ryan, general manager of Minneapolis Saint Paul Plumbing, Heating & Air. “In an effort to provide the best customer service in all regards of home plumbing and HVAC work in the Twin Cities, we need to supplement our already dedicated workforce with new individuals who will strive for excellence.”
In total, up to four HVAC service technicians, up to four plumbing technicians, one warehouse deliverer, one dispatcher, and two customer service representatives will be brought on. All positions will be carefully filled, with background checks for all workers and certification verification required for technicians. In addition to the new openings, the company is looking to increase its veteran staff by 100 percent in the next few months.
“Ten percent of our current workforce is comprised of veterans — something we are very proud of,” said Ryan. “We want to offer the men and women who have served our country an opportunity to have a successful career, while also providing our customers with quality service.”
The company said each new position is also enhanced by a robust benefits program revised in 2014 to include a new suite of supportive offerings. Available to all current and future workers, the benefits include 401(k) contributions, long and short term disability, life insurance, profit sharing, and more. Additionally, each employee, including customer service representatives, receives paid training and continual education throughout their employment.
