The Emerson event Sunday night at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry.

Emerson’s Sunday night Customer Event helped kick off AHR Expo 2015 in grand style. More than 1,000 attendees packed the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry for the event, which featured good food and drink and great conversation.

The company, which was founded in St. Louis in 1890, is marking its 125^th anniversary in 2015. Tim Flinn, vice president of marketing and eBusiness, said to watch for some special moments to celebrate that milestone, including the company ringing the bell to open the New York Stock Exchange on Feb. 19, a very special 30-second celebratory television commercial, filmed on-site in the company’s locations,  that will run during the popular sitcom “The Big Bang Theory” in mid-February.
