Heating Efficiency Savings Calculator App Is Available for iPhone, iPad, and Android Phones and Tablets
NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. — Bacharach Inc., a manufacturer of HVACR test and measurement instrumentation, has announced the release of a new app that can quickly calculate cost saving comparisons from tuning up an existing furnace or by replacing the furnace with a newer, more efficient model.
The app, called the Heating Efficiency Savings Calculator, is available for free for the iPhone and iPad through the iTunes Store or for Android phones and tablets via the Google Play store. The new Heating Efficiency Savings Calculator app enables a HVAC contractor to promote a furnace tune-up or replacement based on inputting a combustion analyzer’s efficiency reading of the current system. The app then compares the fuel/dollar savings of the tune-up and/or an upgrade to a more efficient furnace.
Even without determining the exact efficiency measurement, contractors can easily show consumers the difference in fuel costs between an existing and new furnace by entering the current and new AFUE (annual fuel utilization efficiency) ratings to show estimated savings gained from investing in a more efficient furnace.
Bacharach’s product line includes instruments that detect, measure, and record combustion, refrigerant and environmental gases, temperature, humidity, and other air quality and safety parameters.
