New E-commerce Feature Makes Jackson Systems Website Easier to Use

E-commerce Feature Provides More Information, Better Usability, and More Functionality

April 7, 2014

INDIANAPOLIS — As part of its website redesign, Jackson Systems announced that it has improved the usability of the e-commerce function built into the site. The company said these changes have made this feature easier to navigate, more robust, and overall more HVAC contractor friendly.

“We are always looking for ways to make it easier for HVAC contractors to do business with us. The new e-commerce site provides more information, better usability, and much more functionality than the previous site,” said Tom Jackson, CEO of Jackson Systems.

With unique login information for every user, contractors can choose the level of access their employees have to the site, including limitations for online ordering, ship to address change, account information, and account user management. This provides an extra level of security for the contractor while allowing use of the site by multiple employees. Pricing and product part numbers are clearly displayed on the category landing pages. Clicking through to a specific product will allow contractors to view the features, specifications, and any documentation or training materials available on the products. Simply clicking the “plus” or “minus” button on the product page allows for easy ordering.

The new shopping cart view allows users to add or subtract quantities, delete products, order by part number, or import a list of items from a CSV file. From there users can continue shopping or checkout. Upon checkout, ship to addresses previously provided to Jackson Systems will populate, allowing the user to choose where to ship the order.

The final payment screen shows a detailed invoice of all products on the order and allows for a promotional code, PO number, and notes to be entered. Once the order is placed, users can print an invoice directly from the final screen with a click of the mouse.

From the “My Account” screen, contractors can change passwords for users, remove shipping addresses, track orders in progress, and view past orders. On the “Order History” screen, users get a snapshot of all orders, showing their invoice number and date placed. On this screen users can also view any quotes in the system, as well as convert recent quotes to orders with the simple “Copy Quote to Cart” feature.

For more information, visit www.jacksonsystems.com. To request e-commerce access, call 888-652-9663.
