The Copeland Scroll™ ZPKA compressor is designed for 1.5-2 ton (below 24,000 Btuh) applications in the residential air conditioning market. According to the manufacturer, the compressor allows OEM systems to offer increased efficiency and more reliable performance to small applications — such as smaller homes, apartments, offices, and shops — within the residential a/c market. The ZPKA compressor is available in three models: ZP14KA, ZP16KA, and ZP20KA. It is has been equipped with a new shutdown sound-reduction device and an improved muffler plate design. It includes optimized bearing and crankshaft designs to guarantee reliable performance.
