TROY, Mich. — The NEWS and ClimateMaster will host a free webinar, “Designing Geothermal Systems with Variable Speed Water Pumping,” at 1 p.m. ET on Oct. 9.

The webinar will be hosted by Richard Hiles, district regional manager at Climatemaster.

This webinar is intended to teach current and potential designers of residential and light commercial geothermal systems how to design systems integrating variable-speed water pumping. The webinar will include system design walkthroughs for three different types geothermal systems (two residential/one commercial), each containing the following elements: training on basic system layout, pump sizing, potential energy savings, and impact on overall system efficiency.

Webinar attendees will gain better overall knowledge of geothermal ground loop systems with variable-capacity pumping and should be more confident in specifying these systems to customers. Every webinar attendee will also be provided with two free software programs to assist in geothermal system design. A review of the many benefits of variable-speed pumping will conclude this event.
