The 71700 Hydraulic Flaring & Swaging Tool is an extension of the patented Hydra-Swage design series. According to the manufacturer, the power is in the handheld hydraulic press that accurately flares and swages copper tubing, providing consistency every time. Amid the current market expansion of mini-split systems, and their need for accuracy, this tool takes the work out of swaging and flaring, especially on larger tube sizes, said the company. To utilize, secure the die and adaptor into the fixture and pump the handle a few times. The 71700 kit comes in a custom-molded carrying case which includes dies and adapters for flaring and swaging copper tubing sizes of 1⁄4, 5⁄16, 3⁄8, 1⁄2, 5⁄8, 3⁄4, and 7⁄8 inch.
