SUWANEE, Ga. — Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division has opened two Mitsubishi Electric Training Centers — in Orlando, Fla., and Chicago — to meet growing demand for service and application training among HVAC contractors and engineers.

The new facilities increases the number of Mitsubishi Electric training centers to 10.

The 6,100-square-foot Orlando Training Center opened in February and joins the Atlanta Training Center in Suwanee, Ga., in serving contractors and engineers in Mitsubishi Electric’s South Business Unit.

“Florida is an integral part of our South Business Unit, and the Orlando Training Center provides a convenient location for many of our members,” said Doug King, manager, South Business Unit. “We’re now able to provide our customers in Florida and the Southeast with the level of training they need.”

The Chicago Training Center, located in Schaumberg, Ill., is a 6,800-square-foot facility. An open house is scheduled for May 22.

“Our new state-of-the-art training facility in Chicago offers contractors and engineers in the Midwest the opportunity to learn installation and service techniques directly from our experts,” says Dan Keck, manager, Central Business Unit manager. “This hands-on training prepares them for installing and servicing Mitsubishi Electric air conditioning and heat-pump systems.”

Both the Orlando and Chicago facilities offer hands-on service and field courses for Mitsubishi Electric’s residential, light commercial, and commercial product lines, as well as application workshops with several classes in both English and Spanish. To ensure an interactive training session for students, the facilities have installed demonstration equipment with fully functioning models of Mitsubishi Electric systems, as well as high-tech computer and audio/visual equipment. Each facility includes additional office space for the Mitsubishi Electric sales team.

“The opening of these Mitsubishi training centers illustrates Mitsubishi Electric’s commitment to growth by providing our sales team and customers with high-quality facilities and the best training and information possible,” said Bud Nardello, vice president of sales, Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division.
