Designed for flexible duct media, Eco-Touch® insulation delivers thermal and acoustical characteristics to HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings. It is designed with an impervious inner air barrier film, which prevents insulation from entering the airstream, reducing the possibility of further air friction loss. According to the manufacturer, EcoTouch insulation for flexible duct is the only insulation of its kind that is BioPreferred-labeled, meaning it is approved for use in federal building projects, as mandated by the presidential memorandum Driving Innovation and Creating Jobs in Rural America through Biobased and Sustainable Product Procurement. The insulation component is formaldehyde-free. Unfaced insulation is made with a minimum of 99 percent by weight natural materials consisting of minerals and plant-based compounds. It has a minimum of 57 percent recycled content.
