MISSISSAUGA, Ontario — According to data supplied from Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada’s (HRAI) Manufacturer’s Division, air handling unit shipments grew 62 percent when compared to the second quarter of 2011.

Other equipment showing increases included unit heaters, up 39 percent; commercial air conditioning shipments, 13 percent; residential furnace shipments, 7 percent; and chiller bookings, 1 percent.

Ductless splits shipments decreased 15 percent, and residential air conditioning shipments were down 11 percent, when compared to second quarter shipments in 2011.
