WHITBY, Ontario — John Watson, of the Watson Group, a contractor member of the Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) for more than 30 years, passed away peacefully on his 80th birthday in early March.
He was a strong supporter of the HRAI Toronto Chapter and the Contractors Division. Watson also was one of the founding members of the HVAC Coalition in Ontario that recognized the threat of utility competition in the early 1990s and helped organize the coalition to challenge the utility sector at the Ontario Energy Board.
