Gregg Young went to be with the Lord on Jan. 12, 2017, from complications following back surgery. He was born to Mary Berniece (Roberts) and John James “Jack” Young on Jan. 4, 1960. He is cherished husband of Nancy Alexander Young for 32 years, beloved father to Jessica Lynn and James “Jay” Alexander, and also loved by other close family and many wonderful friends.

Gregg spent over 25 years of his career supporting the HVACR industry while being employed by the ALCO Controls Division of Emerson and Nidec Motor Corp. (formerly Emerson Motor Co.). He held various positions including product management, field sales, training, and marketing where he spent many years working closely with the HVACR wholesalers. He had a bachelor’s degree in ceramic engineering from University of Missouri-Rolla and a master’s degree in business from Washington University St. Louis. He is a member of Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church. He was best known for his inquisitive nature, sense of humor, his servant's heart, and love of Jesus to all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life Service took place Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, 4:00 p.m. at the Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory in Ballwin, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Heart Association. Friends may sign the family's on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.
