The B200SR intelligent sounder bases support the manufacturer’s synchronization protocol, enabling them to be used as part of the general evacuation signal - fully meeting not just UL 268 but also UL 464 - just like any SpectrAlert Advance horn or horn strobe, says the company. The new sounder bases are intended for use in new and existing dwelling unit applications. Designed for attractive aesthetics and simplified installation, installers attach the mounting plate to a standard junction box, which is left completely free to store excess wire. The base then connects to the mounting plate for a surface-mount look, with no exposed components. The base’s mounting screws are then covered by the attached sensor head, providing increased tamper prevention and a cleaner look.
