The decision to honor a dealer with the award is based on its sales growth, product mix, and customer satisfaction. Additional criteria, such as their dealer program utilization and the company’s self-assessment, are also taken into consideration.
“We were able to grow our business by 10 percent this year,” said John Ferrara, president of Home Service Corp. He noted that several factors contributed to their growth, including “the Bryant rebates, the federal tax credits, and the new laptops that our technicians are using.”
Schaafsma Heating & Cooling experienced a 30 percent growth in sales this year. Kevin Walsh, president of Schaafsma Heating & Cooling, explained how they were able to grow their business so significantly. “It boils down to people here. We have great people that truly do whatever it takes. We run a 24-hour service, and our people will install furnaces in the evening, nighttime, weekends, and holidays if that’s what we have to do to take care of the customer.” Walsh also attributed the company’s growth to the extensive and ongoing training of his employees.
According to Jim VanHuis, president of Redmon Heating & Cooling, the company’s “80 years in business, well-trained employees, and NATE- [North American Technician Excellence] certified service technicians,” are a few of the reasons why the company continues to perform at this award-winning level. He also cited his team’s “positive attitude toward work, co-workers, and customers” as contributing factors of their success.
