Canadian Shipments Up in Third Quarter of 2010
MISSISSAUGA, Ontario - According to the Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI), manufacturers reported that shipments were up for most product sectors for the third quarter of 2010.
During the third quarter of 2010, ductless split system shipments showed the highest product sector gain, increasing by 291 percent. Other sectors showed increases, including chiller bookings by 72 percent, commercial air conditioning shipments by 16 percent, residential air conditioning shipments by 7 percent, and unit heater shipments by 2 percent. Residential furnace shipments decreased by 17 percent over the third quarter of 2009.
