ARLINGTON, Va. — The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) has launched an online HVAC career center in partnership with MEPatWork.com.

The ACCA Career Center enables contractors to post job listings as well as search through resumes posted by qualified technicians and other employees. Job seekers can search the listings and post resumes for free.

"Finding quality technicians is an ongoing issue for contractors of all sizes, all over the country," said Michael Honeycutt, senior vice president of ACCA. "The Internet provides an amazing tool, especially as young people in the industry now go there first looking for work or a career change. But the giant job boards, which cross all industries, make it difficult for specialized firms like HVAC contractors to reach the right audience for their message. That's why we created the ACCA Career Center."

Through a partnership with MEPatWork.com, a leading Internet job site for mechanical contracting, ACCA members will post listings at prices of 10 percent off the standard job posting cost. In addition, all contractor members can post a profile of their company, searchable by job seekers, for free.

"Contractors using the ACCA Career Center get the best of all worlds: the largest specialized database of qualified HVAC techs and open jobs, personalized service and training by experienced account managers, and the speed and low cost of an Internet-based system," said Marc Sampson, president of MECHdata Inc. and operator of the MEPatWork.com online job board. "ACCA members have been finding the best candidates and jobs on MEPatWork.com since 1997, and we look forward to serving them even better as part of the ACCA Career Center."
