Jan. 2, 2004: SPX Acquires Hamon CIE Businesses

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - SPX Corporation has announced the acquisition of certain assets from Hamon CIE. The agreement relates to Hamon's Global Dry Cooling and NAFTA Wet Cooling business operations.

Jay Caraviello, president of SPX Cooling Technologies and Services, stated, "This acquisition will fit perfectly with our strategy to expand the Cooling Technologies and Services global platform. Customers will have the benefit of combining Hamon's innovative cooling technology with the financial strength and stability of SPX Corporation."
